Process Corruption
The concept is a concerted attempt to dematerialise an object, promoting a damaging effect polluted by the creative process. The pieces demonstrate subtle beauty of deterioration, expressing fragility and transition through repetition of form.
Cups
Series of 35 - Sold as series of 6
The series of cup forms have a visual relationship with each other, but also a relationship with the process, illustrating effects that can only happen in that moment. The process consists of a cross section of how different variables of a tobacco based glaze can effect the ceramic body. The more contact the cups had with the process, the more effect it had on a cups. They promote the purity of ceramic and the demolition of a beautiful object, giving the individual pieces aesthetic character, expressed through their process experience.
